Victorian Shower Room

Islington, London

The clients for this project went for our full design service with the 4D theatre as they both travel a lot for work so it was important to visualise the design in a short amount of time. The brief was for an open functional space that flows with the rest of the house. Kate, the client, visited with her mood board of ideas for this bathroom, the two driving influences was the industrial shower screen and floor tiling.

Detail was key, we designed small touches that make all the difference such as the marble boxes in the shower niche and the aged brass wall lights. The room features lots of original cornicing around the ceiling, so we needed to box out the back wall in order to recess the cabinets, hide pipe work and create the shower recesses. With a few designs it was finalised to have a high level boxing with a marble shelf giving Kate ledge space for plants.

Lefroy brooks was the ideal brassware option in this space, the client had seen them in hotels she’d visited and their brassware has the traditional elements but with the modern technology of recessed thermostatic valves.

The shower room is a very on trend style, but Kate added some lovely features such as a the special finish lights and mirror cabinet, which added a new depth to the space.
