Belgian Style Farmhouse

Kent

The clients for this project wanted the feel of a Belgian farmhouse with modern functionality, which was achieved through the use of soft chalky textures in the white sanitary ware and the earthy tones of the vanity storage in matt ‘Corteccia’ lacquer. Instead of choosing predictable flagstone look tiling, we chose the warm textured look of large format concrete effect tiles in ‘Sage’, a warm homely grey. Spraying the walls and beams in a harmonious ‘Bone’ colour brings all the elements together to create a stunning welcome space, befitting of the master suite in this home.

Both clients had different priorities, one preferred showering and for the other it was important to be able to bathe and relax, in order for this to be fulfilled, we had to remove some internal walls. We wanted to instil a real ‘His’ and ‘Her’ presence and define the space in the room, whilst still keeping it open and airy. The central back wall was built out, creating more head height and also a focal point to place the antoniolupi Corian floating double console. The full width mirror with anti-fog technology and backlit LED lighting which is controlled by a wave of the hand, situated above the basin reflecting the stunning view from the bedrooms.
