Chislehurst Master

Kent

A tranquil colour palette of grey concrete effect tiles and chalky whites is the perfect foil in this family home. As the master en-suite, the brief was for a luxury sanctuary away from the hustle of city life. So often we can get caught up in the latest trends and the aesthetic of interior design, we forget to think about how it makes you feel.

The clients went for our full design service, they had no preconceptions of how they wanted the space to look, so after a visit to our showroom, taking a look at our previous case studies and a consultation with our designer, Louise Ashdown, we were able to narrow down the design. We have included the before pictures of this bathroom to illustrate how clever design can transform a room and make it seem so much bigger!

The bathroom is the room where we start and end our day, so it has to be relaxing. Used by a husband and wife, the room had to serve both – a his and hers basin was a must!

A large shower was a must for both; one preferred a sporty powerful showerhead whereas one wanted a spa experience, so we combined the two together. The large encased Meteo showerhead with cromatherapy lighting is controlled by a remote control and has a perimeter rain shower and a centre waterfall for a true spa experience.

The room has beautiful large sash windows, so we wanted to utilise the most of the natural light which floods into the room.  By using the same tiles on the wall and floor, it not only gives the illusion of a larger space but allows for the light to stream in uninterrupted. To highlight the light even more, we placed a floor-standing mirror cabinet adjacent to the WC, this reflects the bath and shower and light back into the room whilst also providing plenty of storage to avoid cluttering the basin.
