West One Bathrooms Shortlisted for a Design Et Al 2026 Best Bathroom Award

Awards: August 2026

We’re pleased to share that our Tunbridge Wells Master En-suite has been shortlisted for a Design Et Al 2026 Best Bathroom Award. Recognition from a jury of peers means a great deal, and voting is now open to the public.

The brief began with two separate rooms and a Decimus Burton–style house that asked to be treated with some care. With the help of our design service, we reconfigured the space to hold both a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath without either competing for attention, setting the bath behind a half-height wall and glass panel that gives it presence without closing the room in. Natural stone, ceramic tile and warm wood were layered together, with a quiet limestone-effect floor left to do very little, so the materials above it could do the talking.

It set the tone for the rest of the house’s bathrooms that followed: each one entirely unique and given the same attention to proportion and material throughout.

Designed by Louise Ashdown at our Tunbridge Wells showroom.
