West One Bathrooms and Kohler open Europe’s first Kohler experience centre

Run and operated in partnership with West One Bathrooms Ltd, the showroom is created to serve the fast-growing segment of design professionals working on projects around the world and to offer consumers on-site product immersion, the new concept will make it easier than ever to experience and buy KOHLER products.
The first European KEC opens in London on May 24th, 2017 during Clerkenwell Design Week. The Centre will house a wide selection of fully-functioning displays of Kohler’s global product line available across the world—a first for both the industry and for the KOHLER brand. This will enable trade professionals to test and source KOHLER products all under one roof like never before.
“Our Kohler Experience Centres build upon the success of our Signature Stores in the United States and will uniquely provide a deeper immersion into our product offerings for trade professionals sourcing and selecting the best products for any project, wherever it may be in the world,” said David Kohler, president and chief executive officer of Kohler Co.
Located in the heart of London’s Clerkenwell design district, the European flagship showroom has been carefully designed to suit the needs of professional specifiers with specific areas dedicated to taps, basins and WCs to facilitate product comparisons. Among the highlighted products are Kohler’s newest introductions called Real Rain, an experiential shower panel that perfectly simulates a rain shower, as well as the Shagreen Artist Editions sink, DTV+ shower system, Modern Life suite and Veil wall-hung intelligent toilet.
“We recognized a tremendous need across the industry for a deeper knowledge and insight into how our products work,” said Larry Yuen, Kohler Co. president of the global Kitchen & Bath Group. “From a plumbing perspective, the products that work in a bathroom in Milan are acutely different from those that need to work in a hotel in Dubai, for instance. Our goal with the KEC is to provide design professionals with both the ability to source and resolve all plumbing needs on a global scale from any KEC location.”
KALLISTA from the Kohler Co. decorative products sector, will also call KEC home. KALLISTA plumbing products will have a dedicated space, offering designers the best in premium bathrooms. West One Bathrooms are pleased to announce that the showroom is also home to the very first 4D Virtual Reality theatre in the UK. Users are literally able to walk around their dream bathroom before a brick has been laid – with a square set out in the showroom which they can safely navigate in while using the VR headset.
