As seen in the April 2024 issue of KBB, the freestanding Ottocento bath is perfect for a long relaxing soak. While having separate zones is key to a successful design it is important that there is a cohesive flow between the sleeping bathing and dressing areas. Consider how each zone will be used and think about all the elements that will make the space work for you. Link the zones by adopting a consistent colour palette across the scheme using wall coverings, fittings and accessories thoughtfully. As part of a full refurbishment of this family home on Hampstead, London, interior designer Mia Karlsson repositioned the bedrooms on the first floor to transform the main bedroom into a master suite with the full height dressing room ensuite. The owners who wanted the master ensuite to be an oasis of calm, opted for a rich shade of plum in the bedroom.
