A street enriched with music culture and history, featuring the one-time home of the Sex Pistols to the building that Bowie, Reed, and Taylor would frequent, to the place where The Rolling Stones recorded their debut album, Chateau Denmark brings together cultural legacy and world-leading hospitality.

The team behind Chateau Denmark envisioned bathrooms that would leave visitors in awe. To achieve this, we collaborated with Hurlingham The Bath Company, to craft 24 bespoke baths across a wide range of materials and finishes. The designs were hand-finished by Hurlingham’s master craftsmen in their Lincolnshire-based workshop, then delivered directly to the site after liaising with the relevant contractors.

Not settling for standard, the Hurlingham team created truly bespoke finishes, including copper baths with red enamel interiors and verdigris patina exteriors, and copper baths with red enamel interiors and black exteriors. These verdigris finishes are a specialism of Hurlingham, where their master craftsmen use a process of multiple copper paint applications, reactive solution sprays, and Scotch-Brite to achieve a truly dazzling result. Additionally, Hurlingham customised the baths further by adjusting the height of the overflows for water efficiency. The end result was baths that were as much works of art as the paintings hanging on the walls of the hotel.
