Handcrafted mosaics

New Ravenna is a luxury tile brand that hand makes decorative tiles made of natural stone, glass, precious elements or ceramics. The tiles are known for their intricate patterns and designs, often used in high-end interior design projects to add elegance and style to bathroom floors, walls, and backsplashes. The company offers a wide variety of tile styles, including mosaic tiles, decorative borders, murals and customised designs.

Craftsmanship:

All of the tiles are made by hand in a historical town called Exmore, Virginia United States. New Ravenna’s team consists of over 100 artisans and designers that are proud to create and share unique, handcrafted mosaics made out of finest materials. Each product can be customised to meet the needs of any customer — tile can be tumbled, honed, or treated to create distinctive styles, subtle shade variations, and textures.

Inside the Studio

In a mosaic studio, you might find artists cutting and shaping the individual pieces that make up the mosaic, laying out the design, and then carefully gluing each piece into place to create the final product. Depending on the size of the mosaic, this process can take anywhere from a few hours to several weeks or even months to complete.

For natural stone tiles, the stone is quarried and then cut into the desired shape and size. The tiles may then be polished, honed, or brushed to give them their final texture and finish.

Regardless of the type of tile being made, the production process for New Ravenna tiles is carefully controlled to ensure consistent quality and attention to detail in every tile.
