Dark Magic Bathroom

Our Victorian Villa project was featured in the Living Etc 2023 Bathroom Trends article.

The dramatic interior and moody wallpaper brings a sense of mystery, calling under the spell of the enchanting Dark Magic bathroom.

Branching Out

With its feel of faded grandeur, the chinoiserie-patterned waterproof wallpaper adds a soft decorative touch to this bathroom, designed by Louise Ashdown, head of design at West One Bathrooms. The chunky bespoke unit is painted in almost black  to match the bath standing opposite it, while the slice of Carrara marble on the top offers respite from the dark intensity.

Bath Spa

Painted in the deepest grey, the imposing Vieques bath was the focal point for the palette of the room. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The free-standing tap in the middle of the the room, 90 degrees to the window, ensures plenty of space to walk around and get accessories to the vanity and WC without blocking the window.

The hexagonal floor tiles carry the same pattern as the larger-format tiles to the walls, their smaller size tricking the eye to make the floor feel more expansive as well as creating extra grip in the wet area.
